Father. Husband. Son. Brother. Friend. Coach. Co-worker. Leader. These words describe Benson Louie, who lost his life tragically at the age of 50 in 2017.
Benson was a native San Franciscan who had a passion for volleyball. He was a fierce competitor who translated his on-court experience to coaching. He was recognized as a leader in the Chinese American volleyball community.
A diligent worker, he was known on his UPS route to be friendly and thoughtful.
As a friend, his generosity with his time, energy and talent were unmatched. He approached life with vigor and never backed down from a challenge.
